Sandhill Estate Vineyard Rose, Okanagan, Canada – $19.29

A gorgeous bright cherry colour filled with the scents are of ripe strawberries, sweet cherries, and fresh red Okanagan apples.  The palate makes this a perfect choice for a summer sipper with a medium bodied mouth feel that is full the flavours of soft, fresh strawberries, watermelon and red apples.  This wine has just a hint of sweetness to it that makes it very food and people friendly and you are sure to enjoy its balanced and  refreshing finish.

Louis Jadot Marsannay, France - $19.39

Marsannay is the northern most appellation of the Cote D’Or in France’s Burgundy region and the Jadot Marsannay Rose is produced from the free run juice of Pinot Noir grapes, meaning they were not forcefully pressed but the juice was allowed pressed naturally by the weight of other grapes.  The wine is an almost watery looking with its pale baby pink colour.  Scents from the glass are hints of raspberry, new strawberry and hints of dry black tea.  When you take a sip you will enjoy a soft, round and lightly textured wine.  This rose drinks with the softness of a white wine but is filled with the subtle hints of red fruit flavours that make it perfect with BBQ chicken or fish,  cheeses, seafood, charcuterie and salads.  Enjoy under the sun!

Miguel Torres Santa Digna Cabernet Sauvignon Rose, Chile  - $13.29

A more intense colour rose, that shows like the colour of cranberry juice,  this rose has intense aromas of of red cherries, rhubarb and hints of herbs and fresh grass.  The palate on this wine is medium bodied with a refreshing feeling combined with the flavours of fresh red fruits,  strawberries, rhubarb, and cranberries.  A refreshing backyard sipper! That is very food friendly.

Fosters Pink Dry Rose of Malbec, Mendoza Argentina - $13.49

A lively strawberry pink in the glass this wine shows slight hints of its malbec character as you take in its aromas from the glass.  You will find the nose filled with the flavours of blueberries, strawberries, hints of baking spices and vanilla.  When you enjoy your first sip you will find the palate is smooth with a cleansing fresh feeling that delivers all the flavours you found on the nose.  Sip with a homemade BBQ'd burger, southern style BBq ribs or grilled poultry, or hard cheeses. 

Borsao Seleccion Rose, Spain Grenache Rose - $14.59

A bright and lively candied pink colour this wine is filled with the happy flavours of strawberries, fine white pepper and raspberries.  All of the aromas that you enjoyed when you first smelled this wine follow through on the palate in a spicy/fruity style that would paired excellently with grilled foods.  We are sure you will find this wine to be both refreshing and juicy. 

Ta Rouleir Ajnou Rose, Loire Valley France - $17.99

A reddish pink hue that shimmers in the glass this wine offers aromas of fresh ripe strawberries, roses and watermelon.  The palate is full and round and delights with the flavours of fresh strawberries and hints of floral notes.  This is a demi sec or off-dry style and the hints of sweetness make it perfect to pair with soft cheeses and strawberry based desserts or salads.

The Purple Cowboy “Tenacious Red” Paso Robles California - $16.49

This tenacious red is a blend of Paso Robles cabernet sauvignon and syrah and the hot climate in the region helps to produces it's deep "uber" ripe fruit and deep ruby/purple colour that is almost opaque.  Fresh and lively aroma’s of ripe red fruits, cherries, cassis, cinnamon and Dr. Pepper cola fill your nose and palate as you enjoy its voluptuous velvet like mouth feel. This is a wine that won't disappoint red wine fans as it is filled with ripe red and black fruit flavours and cola/pop notes.   A fantastic choice to pair with your stampede round-up fair such as an open faced steak sandwich, baked beans and pulled pork on a bun with a really fun label to show of during your next western get-together.

The Show Cabernet Sauvignon, California - $ 16.99 

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah this wine is deeply coloured and will remind you of a blend of black cherries and currants .  The nose is boisterous and gives off the scents of cassis, blackberries, dark cherries and subtle vanilla aroma’s.  Absolutely ripe and inviting!  The palate is filled with jammy notes of cassis, wild blackberries and ripe plums.  Enjoy with grilled rib eye and  flat iron steak, hard cheeses and dark chocolate.  Mix and mingle at your stampede event with a glass of “The Show” in hand….

Murrieta’s Well “The Whip” White Blend, Livermore Valley California - $33.49

Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Semillon, Pinot Blanc, Orange Muscat, Muscat Canelli all come together to sound like a great party in the glass before we even get started with the review. This wine is an carefully crafted blend of all six of these grapes and made in a style that brings the best quality of each into your glass.  This wine has an aromatic nose that is filled with yellow apples, fresh peaches, hints of tangerine, honey and spring blossom notes.  On the palate you will enjoy its clean, crisp and medium bodied palate that is filled with the flavours of  stone fruits , pink grapefruit,  honey, brioche, pears, yellow apples and just the right amount of of vanilla spice. This is fantastic wine for sipping or enjoying with food. Pair this wine with Hors D’Ouvres, salads, grilled seafoods, Indian dishes, grilled chicken and cheese plates.

Murrieta’s Well “The Spur”  Red Blend, Livermore Valley California - $42.29

Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc and Malbec all come together in harmony in this easy to drink and tasty red wine.  The wine is a dense dark plum colour and fills your glass and palate with the aromas and flavours of black currants,  blueberries, blackberry jam, cocoa dust, plums and hints of black and white pepper.  Enjoy this wine with great company and paired with grilled red meats, dark chocolate, hard cheeses, duck, roasts, stews and for fun beef jerky.
